Ground Searchers....

are one of our most important resources, although the one that usually gets overlooked. These 'ground pounders' have a crucial role in every search. They can end up out in the field, as a flanker for a K9 team or working in Incident Command.

Ground Searchers have the knowledge and skills needed to perform ground search and support tasks during search operations in typical wilderness and urban/suburban environments. All Ground Searchers are certified at least to the NASAR SAR Technician II level and are also certified in First Aid and CPR. They also learn additional skills such as self-rescue in water and ice and crime scene preservation.
